Summary of Presets

TMPGEnc Movie Plug-in AVC for Premiere Pro provides the Standard preset which allows a wide range of settings within the format standard, and the AVCHD/Blu-ray/Mobile and Portable Devices/ YouTube presets, providing standardized output settings.


In Version 22.3 or later, you can select from the [Custom Presets] in the Preset Manager.



[Standard] Preset
This preset provides access to all encoder parameters for the H.264/AVC format and can be modified at will.
Standard
(High/Medium-bitrate)
A generic H.264/MPEG-4 AVC output preset, which sets the encoder parameters depending on the source movie file. You can also set the resolution, bitrate, aspect ratio, GOP structure, quantization matrix, etc. within the MPEG-4 H.264/AVC (Baseline, Main, High profiles and levels) standards. High-bitrate is suitable for a high resolution source video, and Medium-bitrate is for standard resolution.

[AVCHD/Blu-ray/Mobile and Portable Devices] Presets
Provides a series of presets containing standardized settings.

AVCHD
(NTSC/PAL)
Preset parameters for a MPEG (H.264/AVC) file following the requirements of the AVCHD standard. Use this preset to prepare materials for AVCHD authoring.
Presets for NTSC (North America, Japan, etc.) and PAL (Europe, Middle-East, Oceania, etc.) are available.

Blu-ray
(BDAV, NTSC/PAL)
Preset parameters for a MPEG (H.264/AVC) file following the requirements of the Blu-ray BDAV standard. The BDAV format is the equivalent of the DVD-VR format, providing a framework to record content without a menu system.
Presets for NTSC (North America, Japan, etc.) and PAL (Europe, Middle-East, Oceania, etc.) are available.

Blu-ray
(BDMV, NTSC/PAL)
Preset parameters for a MPEG (H.264/AVC) file following the requirements of the Blu-ray BDMV standard. The BDMV format is the equivalent of the DVD-Video format, providing a framework to record content with a menu system; there are more selectable framerates than BDAV.
Presets for NTSC (North America, Japan, etc.) and PAL (Europe, Middle-East, Oceania, etc.) are available.

Mobile and Portable Devices Preset parameters for a MPEG (H.264/AVC) file corresponding to the requirements of a specific mobile or portable video player device such as iPhone or iPad.
* The resulting file may not be playable on all platforms or devices.

YouTube Preset parameters for a MPEG (H.264/AVC) file corresponding to the requirements for YouTube uploading.
* There is no function to upload to YouTube.

[Custom] Preset
Displays when a value being set in the preset is modified.
Custom This preset name will be displayed when a value being set in the [AVCHD/Blu-ray/Mobile and Portable Devices/YouTube] preset is modified manually.


The settings (resolution, aspect ratio, etc...) of the TMPGEnc Movie Plug-in AVC for Premiere Pro in the Export Setting window does not reflect the preview displaying (includes the Source Scaling setting) in the [Output] tab of Premiere Pro and the output result .
