TMPGEnc Authoring Works 4 creates a smaller, easier to manage proxy file, from which editing can be done as with any other video clip. When the video is output, the edits made in the proxy file are transferred to the larger original video file.

The full version includes a special edition of TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 software that allows users to create a DVD from their slideshow. It also creates a menu for the slideshow with easy-to-use wizards to guide users through the process.
