TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress is a robust encoder program offering almost all popular file formats. Some of today’s popular file formats that TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress accepts: DivX 6 AVI, HDV camcorder, QuickTime (MOV), MPEG 1/2/4, ISO, H.264, DVD-Video, XDVD, DVD-VR, and Windows Media (WMV/WMV-HD/WMA), and now with Flash Video (FLV1, FLV4) input. It also has input/output compatibility with Dolby Digital® sound, Windows Media, MP3, and a wide variety of other audio programs as well as 19 powerful audio and video filters.

Among its features is the ability to automatically import multiple files. A subtitle function allows users to include text into the video, while a subtitle editor provides numerous options and settings for text. Additionally, TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress comes with a color histogram with narrow and full-range display options, and a simple vector scope for easy color control. A color correction filter easily corrects color shifting of YUV components.

Also supported are the common FLV1 and the FLV4 formats using the On2 VP6 CODEC. Other than formats that are seldom used, almost all FLV formats are supported by TMPGEnc 4.0 Xpress.

TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress allows users to input files encoded in Adobe Flash(TM) format or FLV, increase the picture size, change the resolution, reduce video noise or insert subtitles. The users can output those files into DVD-Video or iPod compliant MPEG. Files. The files can also be converted into DivX and uploaded to its Stage 6 user generated content site.
