Click here for the updated list of supported drives.
Fixed An error occurred when reading certain MPEG files.
In the edit window, a runtime or other error occurred with the forced termination of the program when editing or closing the window.
When reading an AAC audio which switched the channel mode in the middle, a sound gap of up to 14.2ms occured at the switching point
When reading a file that contained some specific AAC audio, the sampling rate would be identified as double the actual rate.
A noise would occur when playing a file that contained some specific AAC audio in the middle.
When outputting DVD-Video or a VR file from a MPEG-1 Video as the source, the error "Value does not fall within the expected range" would occur and it would stop the output.
Would not accept an input file if the field order information in its MPEG header is different compared to the files within.
In environments where the CPU was unable to use SSE2 or later, an "invalid floating point error" would occur when starting output and it would stop the output.
Fixed (Burning) Used an alternative field more than necessary when writing to BD-R/BD-R DL media with the writing tool.
Occasionally could not burn DVD-Video correctly onto a dual-layer DVD Disc.
Even though the media is blank and it had been ready to burn, it occasionally would not be identified as blank by the writing tool.
When burning into DVD+R/DVD-R DL media, the layer break point would not be inserted at an appropriate point.
Improved (Burning) The playing compatibility has been increased when burning into BD-R/BD-RE DL media.

 TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 3 Version 3.4.0.151 - April 25, 2011

Improved Media writing tool's writing driver.
Fixed Some software cannot correctly process the INFO chunk included in the WAVE file. The INFO chunk is now no more outputted.
Maximum/Average bitrate would not be correctly retrieved in some MPEG-2 files, outputting an invalid file when the Smart Rendering was applied.
Some DVD-VR data's audio would appear in stereo mode in the Source Wizard but would be recognized as monaural during the importation.
Some peculiar MPEG files would have their bitrate determinated at 0 b/s.
TS files generated by some recorder devices would not be imported.
An "Invalid Dolby Digital stream" error would appear when outputting to the MPEG file target with Dolby Digital audio at 44.1 kHz depending on some settings.
For output targets other than MPEG file, a "Fatal error" would appear when attempting to import unsupported Clips after deleting all the Clips in the project.
For output targets other than MPEG file, failed Clip importation because of a video resolution difference would make the actual output settings be different than the displayed settings in the Format stage.
Corrected the error message display appearing when attempting to add unsupported DVD-Video data through the Source Wizard.
Could not properly save or load a Project file when the Project file name or a clip name in the Project contained Unicode characters.
Under a specific CPU environment, the right half of the picture would become green for all re-encoded parts of the output.
Verification occurring before the authoring would not display the correct error messages when the verification would find issues preventing the authoring process.
When importing a keyframe file in a Clip that has been cut-edited, the keyframe's thumbnail would display the keyframe position's previous picture.
Other minor corrections.

 TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 3 Version 3.2.0.127 - July 7, 2010

Improved File cache memory usage reduced in system embedding a large amount of memory, improving insufficient memory error handling.
Improved memory usage when enabling the preview during an ouput, avoiding insufficient memory error messages.
Fixed Authoring would cause an insuficient memory error when the total duration of the clips was very long.
Using the high-speed rendering mode with certain types of video cards would make the video not display correctly in the cut-edit and preview windows.
In the cut-edit window, the video picture would not update correctly when changing the display mode between "Display at source size" and "display at window size".
MPEG-2 TS files with an abnormal header would not be correctly recognized.
When the Windows resolution setting is higher than 96 dpi, the vertical pointer in the middle of High-speed thumbnail display would be displayed slightly off to the left.
The DVD reader would not import correctly when garbage data was present in some specific domains.
Conversion to PS file would stop at 100% while importing the WTV file only partially.

 TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 3 Version 3.1.2.108 - February 25, 2010

Added Support of the Microsoft TV recorder file format "WTV".
(WTV file importation is possible on the computer that recorded the file, or can create such files, and are not copy-protected.)
Improved The Dolby Digital decoder will continue outputting audio even after encountering corrupted data.
Memory usage. When the memory would be too low, "Insufficient memory", "Invalid sample format", or other errors would display.
File name based on an imported Media Center program name would contain unauthorized characters.
The MPEG file reader can now import a PTS data-only MPEG file.
Fixed Updated Media writing tool. An error log would be outputted under Windows 7 64-bit.
DVD DL media would not be written even when the data volume was compliant.
Some anti-virus applications would prevent the correct writing of DVD-Video files.
Other corrections.

 TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 3 Version 3.1.1.95 - April 21, 2009

Added Dolby® Digital 5.1 output support
(Starting from this version you cannot output multiple Dolby Digital streams at a time.
Ex: When outputting with the Batch encode tool or using several instances of TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 3 simultaneously).
AAC 5.1 channel input suppport.
Possibility to force a given AAC source channel mode in the Property window of a clip.
Multithread setting provides options to reduce the memory usage during the motion search (enabled by default). This option may slightly reduce the processing speed.
Multithread setting provides source file caching options.
Fixed Noise would sometimes appear at the bottom of the high-speed thumbnail picture when the source was 1920×1080 progressive.
When cut-editing, a different picture would appear for a split second.
MPEG-2 Audio in joint-stereo mode could not be used when outputting into BDAV format.
Scene change detection would sometimes display the previous frame rather than the actual search end frame.
When importing a TS file, a still picture would sometimes appear for a long time at the beginning of the video.
Some specific TS files could not be read.
The MPEG Tools' Advanced Multiplexer could not correctly multiplex more than two Dolby® Digital or Linear PCM streams into a file.
In Dolby® Digital output, a small fraction of the audio could be lost at connection or cut-edit points, possibly resulting in an audio gap.
A division by zero error would arise at the end of the re-encode analysis of added VCD materials.
The application would sometimes exit on an error after importing a DVD-Video title with the Source Wizard.
During an MPEG-1 System Stream and MPEG-2 Program Stream multiplexing, the right PES would sometimes not be added to the PTS.

AAC playback would be delayed by several dozen ms.
MPEG-2 TS file could not be opened in cases of timestamp overflow.
Some parts of a terrestrial digital source would wrongly be flagged with a 1:1 aspect ratio.
The preview update would become slow when in overlay display mode.
When importing a VOB/VRO file directly into the clip list by dragging 'n dropping, a warning window would display. Clicking the "No" button would display the warning window again.
Importing several advance VBR files would raise a parameter error when accessing the Format stage.
When accessing the Audio filter stage in the Clip editor, the clip information default time display would be always 0.
In Preferences→Work folders→MPEG output, when the "Create an output folder named 'Project xx'" option was disabled and the "Multiple output mode file naming" option was something other than "Clip name.extension", the Batch encode tool would not check if an output file name was duplicated when registering a job in Multiple file output mode.
In the Batch encode tool, when the number of Tasks was greater than 1, registering more than one project with the automatic folder creation enabled would cause the task process to fail on starting.
When outputting a 16:9 file with the Batch encode tool, its thumbnail would display in 4:3 (with black bars on top and bottom).
