Answers
Q1. Why is the product not launching?
A. Using TMGPEnc PGMX PLAYER requires the .NET Framework 4 or a newer version installed (Windows 7 only). Usually this is automatically installed, but you may have to verify if it is correctly installed in your computer environment. You should also check the product update information.

Q2. How can I find more about the product and updates?
A. Visit our website. You will find support information such as the latest update release, etc. Furthermore, if your computer is connected to the Internet, you are notified of the update in the Start Page.

Q3. What is a PGMX file?
A. This is the acronym of Pegasys Multimedia Box, and is the next generation original video file format enabling 1 file (.pgmx) to embed multiple video contents, and provide menus and chapters like a DVD or a Blu-ray.
Playback requires a PGMX compatible player.

Q4. What is a file extension?
A. File extensions are a kind of tag that give Microsoft® Windows™ the ability to recognize the file type without having to inspect its content.
The default setting in Windows is to hide the file extension. To view the file extension in Windows 7, click "My computer" > "Tools" > "Folder options" > "View" then uncheck "Hide the file extension". By doing so, the file extension ".txt" displays as in "newtextdocument.txt". This ".txt" part is the file extension.
Files playable in TMPGEnc PGMX PLAYER use the ".pgmx or .mkv" extension.

Q5. What are the playable files?
A. See the TMPGEnc PGMX PLAYER specifications.

Q6. Is there any known incompatibility with other installed software?
A. As of June 2014 we do not have any report of a software incompatibility with TMPGEnc PGMX PLAYER. It is, however, possible some anti-virus applications think our software looks like a virus and prevents its execution.
For verification, please contact your other software maker's support service regarding this matter.
If you use or install a freeware application without support available, it is your lone responsibility to verify the compatibility.

Q7. Why can't I playback an MKV file?
A. TMGPEnc PGMX PLAYER supports MKV files playback, but is limited to playable video/audio formats. See here for details. You should also check the product update information.
