This is the Start Page that appears when launching TMPGEnc PGMX PLAYER.
Open a file- This is where you select the PGMX file or MKV file to be played by TMPGEnc PGMX PLAYER.
Display Player View- Switch to the Player View that plays the video file.
Also, if you place the mouse pointer onto the upper-right part of the Start Page, the Player View display switch button appears.
Preferences- This is where you configure the TMPGEnc PGMX PLAYER's operation related settings.
Display the help file- Displays this help file.
- Open File...
- Selects the PGMX file or MKV file to be played by TMPGEnc PGMX PLAYER.
- Player View
- Switches to the Player View that plays the video file.
- Full screen Mode
- Displays TMPGEnc PGMX PLAYER and fills the entire screen.
- Preferences...
- Configures the TMPGEnc PGMX PLAYER operation's settings.
- Help...
- Displays this help file.
- About...
- Displays the TMPGEnc PGMX PLAYER's current version.
- Exit
- Quits TMPGEnc PGMX PLAYER.
The Start Page displays the Playback History and the Library.
Clicking 
toggles the Playback History/Library display.

The Playback History displays a list of the video files recently played in TMPGEnc PGMX PLAYER. The Library displays a list of the video files stored in the folder specified by the Managed Folder of the [Preferences] > [Library Settings].
Hidden Playback History/Library will be displayed by clicking the button on the side of the thumbnail.
Also, you can scroll the Playback History/Library thumbnail display by moving the mouse wheel while over the thumbnail.
You can enlarge the display area by clicking

When the Library is empty, clicking the [Not Registered] displays the [Preferences] > [Library Settings] where you can set the Managed Folder.
Clicking the thumbnail displayed in the Playback History/Library displays the file information at the top of the Start Page.
If you click a selected thumbnail again, the window switches to the Player View and the playback starts.
Right-clicking a Playback History thumbnail displays a menu.
- Play
- Plays the selected video file in the Playback History.
- Delete
- Deletes the selected video file from the Playback History.
* The original file is not affected. - Clear Playback History
- Deletes the entire Playback History.
* The original files are not affected.
Right-clicking a Library thumbnail displays a menu.
- Play
- Plays the selected video file in the Library.
- Delete Selected Item's Original File
- Deletes the selected video file from the Library, and also deletes the original data (original file) saved on the computer.
This function deletes both the video file in the TMPGEnc PGMX PLAYER Library and the original data (original file) saved on the computer at the same time. The deleted original data (original file) is moved to the computer's trash can. Be careful when using this command.
If the original data is deleted (or moved), they cannot be played by this product. Again, be careful.

Clicking [New Version Available!] connects to the product site. (Requires an Internet connection.)
