New Now supports TMPGEnc Movie Plug-in Commercial Candidates Detector for TVMW5 (Sold Separately).
Along with this support, the following functions are added:
  • Added [Move to previous(next) frame] in the right-click menu of the Keyframe list.
  • Added the One-time cut option for the split-ranges in the Cut-edit menu. It is capable of cutting all blue(CTRL+E) or orange(CTRL+R) ranges at once.
  • Added the output as split points option in the Advanced keyframe tool.
  • Increased the maximum number of the split points from 30 to 99.
  • Changed to select the corresponding keyframe when jumping to other keyframes on the seek bar by using the keyboard short-cut [CTRL+←→].

New Now supports iPhone 5s/iPhone 5c/iPhone 4S and iPad(4th Gen) output templates in the Mobile/portable device MP4 file output format. For iPhone 5s, it further supports 1920x1080 60fps output.
Supports XAVC S files import.
XAVC, which is developed by Sony corporation, is a new standard format for 4K and HD videos. XAVC S is one of the standards mainly for consumer devices and software.
Improved MPEG-4 AVC (x264) encoder updated.
The PS Vita output template now supports 1920x1080 30fps output.

Improved to add serial numbers as [01], [02], [03]... to chapters which have no chapter name when the "Output keyframes as chapter" option is being set.

New New: Added the VST plug-in filter for audio filtering as a function.
*Supports only VSTe; VSTi/VST MIDI cannot be used.
New: Now supports the AVX2 instruction which is an extension for Intel 4th generation Core processors.
Also added SSE4.1/SSE4.2/AVX/AVX2 set options in the CPU/CPU settings window of the preferences. *This function is only supported in Windows 7 SP1 or later.

New Functions Now supports PlayStation® Vita and iPad® (3rd Gen) output templates in the Mobile/portable device MP4 file output format.
Supports FLAC audio file import and output (upon outputting, it is available only for MKV container).

Optimized the preliminary process to initialize the exporter, therefore the preparation duration has become shorter.

Notice for users using the Intel Media SDK Hardware output:
When the Intel Media SDK Hardware is set as the encoder in an environment where the Intel HD Graphics driver is version 8.15.10.2618 to 8.15.10.2656, we have found that some of the following problems may occur:
  • The size of the output data set in "CBR" settings differ materially from the estimated size.
  • An error may occur at the start of output; this error has been found to occur for both "CBR" or "VBR" settings.
In these cases, we strongly recommend you install a driver version other than those listed above.

 TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 5 Version 5.2.3.66 - March 13, 2012

New Now supports MPEG-4 AVC encoding in the Blu-ray standard MPEG output format. In addition, supports file encoding for the AVCHD standard, which makes it possible to output an "AVCHD Progessive" stream in 1080/60p and 1080/50p. Because of this new feature, the following settings have been changed:

Important:
It is necessary to install the Intel Graphics Driver version 8.15.10.2361 or higher in order to enable usage of the Intel Media SDK Encoder for the Blu-ray (MPEG-4 AVC)/ AVCHD templates.
  • The output stream type should be set as a MPEG-2 Program (VBR) or Elementary (Video + Audio) stream when specifying MPEG-4 AVC with Linear PCM.
  • Added "Output stream type", "Profile & Level" and "Entropy coding" options to the Blu-ray standard MPEG file settings.
  • The default state for the "Output bitstream for editing (Closed GOP)" option is now unchecked in order to increase bitrate efficiency.
  • An AAC audio stream can be selected when BDAV (MPEG-2) is set in the Blu-ray standard MPEG file settings.
  • Maximum video bitrate limited to 35Mbps in the Blu-ray standard MPEG file settings. (To reserve a margin for output, previously saved projects will be revised to 35Mbps if they exceed the new maximum bitrate)
  • Added adjustment modes for each format in the MPEG-4 AVC Advanced settings of the MPEG output.
*The CUDA encoder cannot be used for the AVCHD standard MPEG output due to the specifications of CUDA.
*Please update to the latest version of the TMPGEnc Movie Plug-in SpursEngine before using it. (You can download the latest version from your User Account.)
Improved (Importation) Extended the search range of the MPEG file reader in order to apply it to TS files which have the start point of the stream far from the point of the data.
Added support for reading the S_VOBSUB subtitle format multiplexed in a MKV container.
Added support for reading Linear PCM audio and subtitles multiplexed in AVCHD 1080/50 or 60p files via the BD Reader.
Added new template options for the subtitle insertion, which are "Video frame & number of the edited clip", "Video frame number of the edited clip", "Time of the source clip" and "Video frame number of the source clip".
Improved the decoding speed for Dolby Digital audio.

Along with this correction, versions 5.1.1.52 and older can no longer load the project files saved on this version or later. (This version can load the project files saved on previous versions without any problems.)
When the QuickTime reader obtains the video format as YUV, the video will be handled as Compressed Range.
Corrected (Importation) Could not correctly retrieve the program name and the details obtained by TS analyzing.
Would not correctly load the BD output template saved on TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress.
Displayed a part of the video overlapped when reading a Type-1 DV file via the MediaFoundation Reader.
An error would occur when reading a non-compressed YUY2 file via the AVI file reader.
Could not read a DivX audio file correctly via the DivX file reader in a specific environment.
Could not correctly read a video which had been read via the QuickTime 7 file reader and the framerate was changed in the Clip properties window.
The Blu-ray/DVD/TS analysis reading function in the source wizard was corrected, and the following problems have been resolved:
  • An error occurred when reading a specific TS file after the TS file analyzing.
  • Took enormous amounts of time in order to read a file which contains invalid packet data.
  • Character corruption would occur when retrieving ISBD-TS subtitles contained in a TS file.
  • A part of the titles might not be displayed when reading a Blu-ray file which was saved in something other than NTFS.
The MPEG file reader was improved and the following problems have been resolved:
  • An error would occur when reading a MPEG-4 AVC file which had the end of the stream data in the middle of the file.
  • Could not read the full length of a WTV file which has a large size at a certain level when reading directly via the MPEG file reader and not the source wizard.
A sound gap or an error would occur when reading some specific files via the Windows Media file reader.
A sound gap might occur when reading a specific file via the DirectShow file reader.
Could not decode the end of the video stream when the Intel Media SDK software was set as the MPEG-4 AVC video decoder.
Could not correctly restrict reading the maximum number of subtitle streams up to 9999 in the Subtitle filter window.
An error would occur when reading a project file which contained over 200 clip registartions. Such file will no longer be loaded.
Could not correctly read a xsubtitle created by TMPGEnc Authoring Works 4.
When decoding a MPEG-4 AVC via the CUDA decoder, the bottom line of the video would be changed to a green color.
Changed (Editing) There was a possibility that a problem would occur on certain players where the output bitstream for editing (closed GOP) will be always checked in the MPEG-4 AVC/MKV file output and the Weighted prediction mode (P picture) will be always set as "Simple" when the x264 encoder was being used. (The settings will be corrected appropriately when previously saved projects or templates are loaded other than it moved or selected to the MPEG output.)
Corrected (Playback, editing, filters) Corrected the volume level meter to display correctly. Along with this correction, the lower value has been changed to "-40dB" on the meter.
A SEH error would occur when seeking on the preview window while the subtitle filter was enabled or when specific MPEG-4 AVC video data was input.
Could not display the subtitles of a specific TS file when seeking on the preview window.
In cases where Direct 3D was disabled for the audio wave and the thumbnail display, the scene change detector function (with the center mouse-click) worked very slow.
The Fast forward/backward on I picture option In the preferences would not work correctly.
In the timeline mode, the height and width values of a text clip would reset to its default when the clip was copy-pasted.
In the timeline mode, the clip length information would display the previous value even though the length had been changed.
An error would occur when a large value was entered into the timestamp setting in the keyframe mark editor of the timeline mode.
Improved (Output) Added Linear PCM 192 kHz/5.1ch and 96 kHz/7.1ch options in the MPEG output/Blu-ray (BDMV) standard MPEG file settings when the output stream type is set as elementary.
Changed (Output) The x264 encoder engine (x264) has been updated.
Added "full rate distortion optimization in all frames" option in the Sub-pixel motion estimation mode.
If there is a difference between the 1st pass and the 2nd pass cached content, the cache after that point will not be used during Multi pass MPEG-1/2 encoding.
Corrected (Output) Could not output a few frames of the end of a clip when the Intel Media SDK Hardware encoder was used.
The value of the "normal number of frames in a GOP" option would be smaller than the automatically set value which was used depending on the resolution and framerate selected in the output setting.
Displayed the Weighted prediction mode (P picture) option continuously in the Advanced settings window even though the level had been changed to Baseline.
In the Windows Media file output settings, the peak audio bitrate value sometimes would reset to its default even if it was set manually.

Improved The Precision denoise filter accelerates much faster and reduces afterimages better than the prior version. Note that it is possible the filtering will not use CUDA acceleration depending on your computer environment since CPU acceleration related to the filtering can be much faster than that of some CUDA devices. In the case that the CPU is faster than the CUDA device, the CPU will be used.

When opening a project file and a "could not find source" error occurs, replacing the missing source file would not work properly. could not work correctly, in case of replacing with other materials since an error occurred such as could not find a clip or other materials, and also such the materials includes a image file or specifying video and audio separately.
Fixed a problem where video files read with the Media Foundation file reader would not display properly when fast-forwarding or rewinding in the cut-editor.
The QuickTime 7 file reader was improved and the following problems have been resolved:
  • Brightness changed from the middle when reading a MOV file made from the AVID DNxHD codec
  • Could not decode in the correct order of frames for MOV files shot with specific cameras.
  • A sound gap would occur when reading some specific MOV files.
  • Could not open MOV files containing only audio streams.
  • TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 5 would freeze when reading an MOV file without the codec despite requiring the codec to play.
The Source Wizard's Blu-ray/DVD/TS analysis reading function was corrected, and the following problems have been resolved:
  • Could not correctly read specific character strings such as program information when reading a Blu-ray file (BDAV).
  • Could not correctly read data containing two or more STC sequences when reading a Blu-ray file (BDAV).
  • Would sometimes not perform correctly when getting the duration of the title when reading a Blu-ray file (BDAV).
  • A divide by zero error might occur if there was a lot of garbage data in the MPEG stream header when reading a Blu-ray file (BDAV).
  • Titles might not be included in the title selection when reading a Blu-ray file (BDAV) which contains 50p or 60p video data.
  • Upon reading Blu-ray (BDAV/BDMV) data, the operation might be overly intensive due to unnecessarily checking at the end of the file when reading the last subtitle data.
  • Could not read only a part of specific BDAV/BDMV data when reading a Blu-ray file (BDAV/BDMV).
  • The thumbnail image in the title list would not be displayed correctly when reading a Blu-ray file (BDAV/BDMV).
The MPEG file reader was improved and the following problems have been resolved:
  • When reading Dolby Digital Plus audio, a memory leak would occur.
  • When previewing Dolby Digital Plus audio from the file head, there would be no sound.
  • When opening an MPEG file which contains several types of audio formats, they would sometimes not be reflected in the list for the audio stream selection.
  • Would refer a wrong proxy file when specifying.
  • Would mistakenly recognize the size as 1920×1088 when reading a 1920×1080 H.264 MOV file.
When decoding AAC audio which switches the channel mode in the middle, a noise would occur at the switching point.
When reading specific FLV files, the picture would become black and the time would not display correctly.
When reading AAC audio which switches the channel mode in the middle, a audio gap would occur at the switching point.
When the audio packets did not include audio-data in the file head, the FLV file reader would incorrectly identify the type of audio.
Corrected (Output) The MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) encoder engine (x264) has been updated.
Upon outputting JPEG files, the component Id within the SOF0 segment was not correctly marked.
Could not correctly display the error when the commit size approached the 4GB memory size during encoding with the x264 encoding engine.
When an exception would occur in the internal encoder, there would be no notification of the details of the exception.
Depending on the timing, it was possible that Memory Access Errors would occur when starting multiple simultaneous encodes from AAC audio or FLV files as the source materials.
Would output invalid files when outputting an H.264/AVC file using the Intel Media SDK encoder and the number of reference frames was set as "1".
If the source file was an H.264/AVC stream with a multi-slice picture field, it could not be multiplexed into an MP4/MKV.
Could not control the VBV buffer correctly when multiplexing some specific MPEG-2 video streams.
When the baseline profile was selected for MPEG-4/AVC output, some advanced settings that should be fixed were changeable.
When CUDA was enabled, the QuickTime file output would be choppy.
A QuickTime file encoded as a MOV was not displayed correctly in some environments.
The value of the average bitrate would change immediately in response to other numerical inputs even if it was changed in the encoding/bitrate settings for output such as MPEG or MKV.
Changed (Output) When using the x264 encoder, the aspect ratio is now based on the 2005 H.264 standards instead of the 2009 standards since some players still cannot interpret the 2009 standard.
Corrected (Playback, editing, filters) Noise would appear on a picture when the width/height was not a multiple of 16 when using the Precision Denoise Filter through CUDA.
The Mask filter's (type: Blur) set strength value would revert to the default value when the filter window was re-opened.
After selecting 24fps as the Deinterlace mode, an error would occur when the source aspect ratio was changed in the clip settings.
The vintage picture filter was unable to be used when SSE2 or later was enabled in the CPU settings. Also, an error occurred when it was used in an environment where multi threading acceleration for filtering was enabled.
In the subtitles filter, the characters would display at a shifted position when a specific layout setting was used.
The mask when added through the mask filter would not be deletable by using the DEL key or specifying the unmask range.
In the audio properties window of the clip properties, pressing the ESC key would apply changes to the channel mode setting.
Even though thumbnail would be disabled, the high-speed thumbnail navigation would still work with the Ctrl + number keys.
On a PC which had not been restarted for a long time, an error occurred at startup when trying to edit a project that was previously registered in the batch encode tool.
In the explore view function of the timeline window, a sample format error occurred when playing a source with a width or height of 2048 or more.
When inputting an MPEG-4 file into the Multiplexer(advanced) in the MPEG tool, the default output format would be MKV.
Corrected (Other) A canceled job still remained in the batch encode tool when the tool was re-opened.
When editing a long clip in the timeline window at maximum magnification, making changes to the volume level caused an extraordinary increase in processing activity.
In cases where network hardware equipment had been replaced since the last license validation, a license validation prompt would be executed again.
An deadlock would occur in communication between TMPGEncVMW5Encoder.exe and the main exe.
On environments where there is an H67/Z68 chipset and dual monitors, the CUDA functions could not be used depending on the connection settings.
In cases where the batch encode tool had been reopened from the taskbar, the tool would not accept the adding of project files by drag-and-drop.
Even though the MPEG extension setting had been changed in the preferences, the setting would revert without being stored properly.

 TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 5 Version 5.0.6.38 - May 11, 2011

Added Possibility to set 1 pass in the x264 encoder when in average bitrate mode. (The default number of passes can be set in the Preferences window)
Corrected (Importation) Some specific TS files could not be decoded by the Standard decoder (MPEG-4 AVC) and caused an invalid termination.
The audio sampling rate would be twice the actual sampling rate upon analysis of some specific TS files.

Non-WebM MKV files are no longer imported through the WebM reader because some unsupported MKV files would cause an error in the WebM reader.
Audio sampling rate could not be correctly retrieved when importing Type-1 DV files through the MediaFoundation reader.
Correct video time could not be retrieved and an audio gap would occur when opening a file with variable sample timecode through the MediaFoundation reader.
The MPEG reader would sometimes confuse normal AAC audio with HE-AAC audio.
Framerate analysis could not perform correctly for MP4 files generated by a specific device.
An error would occur when importing M4V files generated by specific software.
A timeout error would occur when applying a filter template on materials imported through the VFAPI reader.
File importation has been improved, bringing the changes listed below.
  • Drag'n dropping a folder containing data other than a DVD/BD volume now displays the list of found supported files.
  • When selecting several files, and the Source Wizard appears for some of the files, you have the option to exclude files that may be processed twice.
  • When files are VOB/MTS/M2TS in a DVD/BD volume structure, you now have the choice to import them directly or through the Source Wizard. You can also elect to always use the same importation method without going through the new method selector window.
  • When files are MTS/M2TS but not in a BD volume structure, you now have the choice to import them directly or through the Source Wizard's TS file importer. You can also elect to always use the same importation method without going through the new method selector window.
  • When files are VOB but not in a DVD volume structure, you now have the choice to import them directly or through the Source Wizard's DVD file importer. You can also elect to always use the same importation method without going through the new method selector window.
Corrected (Output) MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) encoder engine (x264) updated.
In the x264 encoder settings, the maximum quantize value's maximum value is now 69 instead of 51.
Enabling the "Apply low-pass filter on the color channel" when using the x264 encoder would process the picture through a non-optimized filter, slowing the output process.
In the MPEG file output, the "Encode keyframe as I Picture" option would not appear in the detailed settings when the x264 encoder was selected.
Since version 5.0.3.29, some players could not correctly play MKV files generated with the x264 encoder.
An error would occur when selecting the MPEG-1 video format in the MKV file output.
A buffer overflow would occur when multiplexing an AVC stream in a MPEG-2 TS for MPEG related outputs.
When displaying the Bitrate calculator for MPEG related outputs, the minimum Minimum bitrate would be exchanged with the prescribed minimum bitrate.
The YUV colorspace's automatic setting's value would be "Unspecified" for MPEG file output when the video format was MPEG-2 in SD size.
MPEG-1 SS / MPEG-2 PS multiplexer now process the VBV buffer according to the MPEG standard. (When setting the VBV buffer size to any value other than 0 [Automatic], the size must be lower than an 8th of the bitrate)
In MPEG file output, the Performance setting could not be changed once other settings affected by it were changed manually.
Some software cannot correctly process the INFO chunk included in the WAVE file. The INFO chunk is now no longer outputted.
Corrected (Playback, editing, filters) When a specific error would occurs in the Preview's player, the application would stop functioning.
In a specific environment, the overlay could not be retrieved and the display would be incorrect when the overlay was already used by another application.
An "Invalid floating point number operation error" forcing an application exit would occur when displaying the audio waveform during editing in the Clip editor.
The thumbnail and audio waveform rendering method does not automatically switch to Direct3D anymore when returning to the Clip editor window after the current rendering method caused an error while scrolling the Fast Thumbnail.
In the Subtitles filter, an index error would occur when deleting subtitles.
In the Subtitles filter, items would not display correctly when having several items displayed and setting a fade effect in the layout used by those items.
The Audio denoise filter's effect could sometimes not be verifiable in the Filters window even after performing an analysis.
The Audio volume correction filter in Normalization/Uniformization modes would not properly display its status upon analysis.
The Picture resize filter's picture position method setting would affect the thumbnail display.
The preferences window (Clip editing panel) now contains an option to enable/disable the application of the filter chain on the thumbnail display.
The Insert/Delete key would not properly function to add or remove masks in the Mask filter.
The Transition editor's Transition duration setting slider would not allow any setting within the 0.1-3.0 range.
Playing/Pausing by using the space bar would not function upon changing the filter chain structure.
Values set in the Slideshow editor's Global settings window would not be used as the default values when subsequent slideshows were added.
An individual slide's settings could not be applied even when the "Use local settings for this slide" option was enabled if the Slideshow editor's Global settings' "Use specificed transition" setting was set to "None".
The Navigation tool's default method (Timestamp or frame number) is now the previously used method.
Corrected (CUDA) When using the CUDA encoder, setting "High Profile" would allow the use of unauthorized bitrates and caused an error.
An error would occur while moving data from the video memory to the main memory when the video memory became insufficient.
The recovery process could freeze when the video memory became insufficient.
An error would sometimes arise when setting the Deinterlace filter mode to "24 fps" and the Method to "Simple duplication on stripes only".
The audio resampling process would not execute correctly and cause an error.
Noise would appear on the bottom of a picture with a height not multiple of 16 when using the Precision denoise filter.
Corrected (Timeline) The timeline mouse's commands, drag'n drop, and snap functions have been improved. Functions listed below have been added or corrected.
  • When dropping a Clip in the timeline, its dropped position is the current playhead's position within the timeline gauge;
  • The current position (playhead position) would not move correctly upon dragging several Clips at a time;
  • Snapping would be incorrect when dragging several Clips at a time;
  • All selected Clips now snap when dragging several Clips at a time instead of just the Clip below the mouse pointer.
  • When dragging a Clip, a Color correction, or a Subtitle in the timeline, each item snaps on its left or right either to the playhead mark or to other compatible items.
  • Moving the mouse pointer over the timeline gauge now displays the pointed frame number and timestamp in a pop-up.
  • Moving the mouse pointer over a Color correction or dragging a Subtitle item now displays information in a pop-up.
  • Clip, Color correction, and Subtitle items become half-transparent when dragged.
When using the timeline scale bar, the displayed time position value in the timeline would become abnormaly high.
When copying Clips to the clipboard in Normal mode then pasting them in Timeline mode, the Clip's order would be reversed.
You can now jump directly to the currently selected timeline's Clips header and ender by using the [Ctrl] + left/right arrow keyboard shortcut.
When moving a Clip in the preview and then changing its size, the Clip's position would reset.
CPU usage would increase when opening a Clip's Clip editor window when the audio waveform or audio level display was enabled.
Corrected (Other) An error would occur at start-up for specific CPUs that cannot use SSE2.
Changed the processing parameter applied to cases where the audio channel number or speaker position is modified, allowing the deleted channels' data to be distributed into the closest remaining channels.
The MPEG tool's advanced multiplexer now multiplexes the streams in a MP4/MKV container in the order they appear in the muliplexing list.
Some specific MKV files would not be demultiplexed by the MPEG tool.
The Preferences window's MPEG file extension settings now offer the possibility to select mp4 or m4v for the outputted MP4 file extension.
ts and m2ts extensions have been added to the Preferences window's MPEG file extension settings for the MPEG-2 Transport Stream output file type.

 TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 5 Version 5.0.5.32 - February 24, 2011

Corrected (Importation) The MPEG-4 AVC decoder would not correctly decode when there were 16 reference frames of data.
The VFAPI file reader could not correctly retreive the audio and/or video when several instances were used.
The AVI file reader no longer uses some of the ACM codecs that would cause a buffer overrun.
Can now import MPEG-2 TS files that some software generates without Access Unit Delimiter.
Can now import the LATM AAC audio format included in WTV files.

MPEG-4 (AVC) file output's YUV colorspace settings would sometimes be incorrect.
An error would occur in MPEG-4 (AVC) file output when moving to the Format stage while the first clip of a project would require setting values out of the Level 4.1 range.
  • From now on, if the project header clip's characteristics require Level 4.1 or higher, the encoder settings are automatically rounded to Level 4.1 compliance. (ex.: In case of a 1920×1080 59.94p clip -upon applying Double framerate filter-, the encoder setting will be 1920×1080 30p. *Note you can manually change the Level and then set any arbitrary value.)
When using the Intel Media SDK or the SpursEngine for the MPEG-4 (AVC) file output in interlace display mode, the resulting framerate would be seen as double than what it should be.
When outputting in an MPEG related format, the encoder's Performance setting would sometimes reset to its default value if the Output multiplexer setting was changed from System (Video + Audio) to ES (Video + Audio) and then changed back to System (Video + Audio).
Corrected (Other) An error would occur when applying the CUDA version of the Precision video denoise filter on a clip with an original or resized specific size.
Subtitle playback timing and other related settings would become incorrect upon cut-editing a part where a scrolling effect was set in the Subtitles filter.
Mobile and portable device MPEG file output template folder name contained invalid characters.

  • The recognized framerate would be double the actual framerate and prevent correct playback when importing some specific MP4 files;
  • Video would not display correctly when importing AVC video from an M2TS file through the standard decoder;
  • Audio noise would occur when importing some MOV files containing MPEG-4 AVC video and Linear PCM audio.
Reduced the TS reader memory usage. This should help avoid the appearance of an "Insufficient memory" warning when editing.
Appropriately imports files without trying to use Picture Timing SEI data (data that holds the picture display timing) which some capture devices do not generate correctly.
Updated the MPEG reader, resolving the issues below:
  • Analyzing 192 byte packet TS files would take a lot of time and eventually fail;

Corrected issues and improved the SpursEngine file output as below:
  • An "Incorrect parameter" error would occur when performing a series of commands in a given order;
  • Can no longer encode output with less than 4 frames as per the SpursEngine hardware specifications. When outputting a file with less than 4 frames, the last frame is duplicated until the total length reaches 4 frames and is then outputted
Corrected issues and improved the MPEG file output as below:
  • No longer displays non-standard compliant motion search methods (Exhaustive search, Hadamard exhaustive search) and the "Weighted prediction mode (P Picture)" option when encoding video in interlace mode with the x264 encoder;
  • When outputting chapters in MPEG-4 (AVC), a first chapter at 0 timestamp is automatically added to the list;
  • Unusable channel structures were displayed when using the MPEG-4 (AVC) or MKV file outputs;
  • In the MPEG file output, enabling the "Start closed GOP with a B Picture" option would sometimes result in the appearance of an "Invalid MPEG-Video stream" error depending on certain other settings;
  • In the MPEG file output, changing the encoder changes the "Maximum number of frames in a GOP" option from 0 to 1023;
  • In the MPEG file output, among others, changing the average bitrate setting in the Bitrate calculator now also changes the Maximum bitrate value;
  • When selecting the Blu-ray standard MPEG file output, an invalid parameter error would occur due to non-processable settings.
When encoding in AAC audio, a 1 block/1024 sample delay would occur.
When an unexpected error forcing an abnormal ending of the encode occurred, a memory accsess error would then occur and the display would be affected.
Corrected (Other) Corrected issues and improved NVIDIA CUDA support as below:
  • CUDA would not be usable when the host computer tries to use both CUDA and the Sandy Bridge internal GPU at the same time;
  • Processing the Mosaic filter through CUDA would turn the tiles into green or blackish colors;
  • When using the CUDA encoder, enabling the prefetch cache would make the encode process slower than when disabled;
  • CUDA related warnings or messages would display when starting the encode process;
  • Changed the CPU and CUDA usage rate displayed during the encode process. The CUDA usage rate now appears only when CUDA is actually enabled.
  • CUDA performance optimization is now strictier. (With this correction, the performance optimization may take slightly more time than before.)
Corrected issues and improvements in the Cut-edit, Filters and Timeline windows as below:
  • An incompatibility would occur for the "Vintage", "Sharpness", and "Smart sharpness" filters when combined with CPU settings that cannot use SSE2 or higher optimizations;
  • Application would freeze when applying a Filter template containing a "Sharpness" filter setting;
  • When an error would occur during clip editing, the Clip list item's "X" (Delete) button would not function anymore;

  • The batch list information would not update when updating a batch from the main application in linked mode;
  • In the Project editor window, entering an invalid output file name would cause an invalid character string error even when clicking the "Cancel" button.
The encoder preview display would not update during the encode.
Setting a keyframe at a timestamp position more than 2 hours in the timeline could not be possible.
In the Clip editor window, the thumbnail now updates when adjusting the thumbnail display and using the navigation keys or during the scene change detection.
Other corrections.
