  7. Why are videos registered once I startup the program?

By default, TMPGEnc KARMA.. Plus registers video files found in the Video folder of your "My Documents" directory.
If you'd like to change this setting, go the managed folder settings and uncheck this directory. Then click on the "Delete all library data" to remove the registered files from your library list (this will not delete the video files from your hard drive).

  8. Why is video playback poor when generating Story Thumbnails?

Other functions may run slower than usual while Story Thumbnails are being generated. You can wait until the Story Thumbnails are finished generating, or you can pause or cancel the Story Thumbnails from being generated. Performance will depend on your system's hardware.

  9. Story Thumbnails are taking a long time to generate.

If you have a lot of video files, it can take quite a while for the program to scan and generate Story Thumbnails for them all. Performance will also depend on your system's hardware.
