Product Q&A

  1. Can I edit AVCHD H.264 movie files?

Yes. You can edit from the original file, but it might run slow on your computer due to the large amounts of data, so we recommend creating a Proxy file for editing. By creating a proxy file for editing, you can edit the file faster and smoother.
Note that if you want to output to Blu-ray (BDMV) you must output to the MPEG-2 format; if a format other than MPEG-2 is inputted, it will automatically convert to MPEG-2.

    What is CPRM?
CPRM is a technical copyright enforcement system based on the encryption of the recorded data onto the Blu-ray or DVD media.
    What is AACS?
AACS is a next generation technical copyright enforcement system based on the encryption of the recorded data. It is similar to the CPRM.

  5. I have purchased the download version; what should I do when I buy a new computer or need to reinstall it?

As long as you possess a valid license serial number you can use the software. The program installer is usually available for download from our website. When purchasing the software you receive a license serial number by e-mail. If your computer breaks or you lose access to your e-mail, you may not be able to retrieve your license serial number.
To avoid this, we strongly recommend you register your license serial number in your User Account (A free service on our website. Please create your User Account once you receive your license serial number if you do not have an account yet). Once registered, you will be able to retrieve your license serial number and the latest version of the program installer at any time.
NOTE: After one year from the software purchasing date, we will discontinue providing download programs. Therefore, we recommend that you burn it onto a CD/DVD.
