Pegasys' TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress officially supports the latest Intel CPU next generation architecture (Nehalem)
Pegasys Inc. annouced today its multiformat encoder flagship product, TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress ver. 4.6.3.267, officially supports the Intel® Core™ i7 next generation architecture CPU (codename: Nehalem) for desktop developed by Intel.
This new processor developed by Intel embeds the Intel Hyper-Threading technology able to simultaneously process several threads, allowing the processing of up to 8 software threads with 4 processor cores. This brings more power for multimedia related processing, such as video encoding. You can now take advantage of the optimized processing of this processor.

With the release of Authoring Works 4, TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 with DivX Authoring is now discontinued. Support for this product will end on November 12, 2009. Downloads for the additional menu templates, buttons and backgrounds will continue to be available.

With the release of TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 3, TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 2.0 and TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 2.0 PREMIUM have now been discontinued. Support for these two products will end one year from now on May 14, 2009. TMPGEnc MPEG Editor 2.0 PREMIUM owners can upgrade to version 3 for FREE, while regular version 2.0 users can upgrade for $39.95.
